Outlook design a poster competition

Outlook are running a design a poster competition for the Safer Internet Day which is being held all over the country on the 9th February 2010!

The competition will have 2 age groups -

8-13 years
14-18 years

The poster should have a theme of

'Think Before you Post'

There will be 3 prizes awarded to both age groups for the best posters-

First prize - £30 in vouchers
Second prize - £20 in vouchers
Third prize- £10 in vouchers

Winners will be selected by Outlook panel members on Saturday 30th January.

So get designing on A4 Paper or design it on your computer and make sure that you clearly put your name on your poster and send them to us at

Outlook Fostering Training Course - Solution Focussed Approaches to Working with Young People

Thursday 28th January 2010

A one-day course aimed at Social Work Supervisors and Social Work Practitioners.
Facilitated by: Young People in Focus (Formulary known as The Study of Adolescence)

The Course Content
This course introduces the key ideas and techniques in solution focused approaches when working with young people. These have proved to be very successful with young people who are experiencing a variety of difficulties, and with workers struggling to get through the ‘adolescent wall’.
The course introduces the techniques, questions and tools to use with young people which will help to establish and maintain positive relationships with them, and promote positive change.

Time and Cost
The course is delivered over a day from 10.00am – 4 pm.
The cost for the course is £125.00 including lunch.
